Introduction Experiment

"Hi. I'm CeCe."

For the next year, I will use some variant of those words in order to meet new people. Every day, I will introduce myself or be introduced to a complete stranger. These introductions can take place anywhere - shopping, eating, the street, a friend's party, improv class, etc.

I realize I am starting this blog on January 2. I will just have to complete it through January 2 of next year.

The goal here is to meet new people but also to create a more friendly environment in the world around me. I sometimes forget as I'm rushing through life to be kind to the people around me. I think that actually introducing myself to people may make for interesting conversations and, hopefully, a better understanding of humanity. I would like to make connections, yes, but I'd also like to see people more clearly instead of just barriers in a line or an aggravation on the other end of the phone or another face in the crowd.
